Jake grew up in Prescott and moved to the Phoenix Valley at 18. He graduated from Arizona State University in 2013 with a degree in Construction Management. His construction background led him into real estate, where he spent several years buying and renovating homes.
One problem kept coming up: HVAC. After frustrating experiences getting air conditioning systems diagnosed and repaired, Jake began learning the work himself. He went on to help others and perform HVAC work alongside his regular job.
After about six years working in the field, he turned that experience into his own company: The Good Apples Cooling & Heating.

Home of The Good Apples
HVAC probably is not the first thing you think of when you hear “apples.” Jake wanted a memorable name, but one that meant something, too.
A Good Apple is dependable, treats people properly and takes pride in doing the work right. It is also the standard for the team he is building.
When you hire an HVAC contractor, you are inviting someone into your home. We believe that matters.
The Good Apples promise
When your air conditioner stops working during an Arizona summer, you need to know what is wrong and what it will take to fix it.
We diagnose the actual problem, explain what we find in straightforward language and help you understand your options. Sometimes a repair is enough. Other times maintenance or a larger solution makes more sense.
Jake was born and raised in Arizona, attended ASU and has lived in the Phoenix Valley for years. The company is based in Peoria, AZ, with service across nearby communities.
Arizona’s climate places real demands on heating and cooling equipment. Responsive repair and emergency HVAC service during our published hours are an important part of what we do.
Available 5:00 AM–10:00 PM, every day.
Heating and cooling help for homeowners, from urgent repair through planned maintenance and installation.
The Good Apples Cooling & Heating was founded in 2025, though Jake’s HVAC and construction experience began years earlier.
As the company grows, the standard stays the same: knowledgeable, dependable people who respect customers and stand behind their work. That is the company we are building.
Whether the AC stopped cooling, the heat is not working or you need professional HVAC service, we are here to help.
Good people. Good service. Good Apples.
